My journey in bodywork and rehabilitation began when I was introduced to Pilates whilst recovering from a period of illness. Pilates helped me to build my core strength and reconnect mind and body. It taught me to recruit the correct muscles and strengthen the entire body to allow improved movement in my every day life. My love for Pilates grew and developed into a passion to show others how Pilates could help. This lead me to train as a mat work Pilates teacher going on to qualify as a Pink Ribbon Post Rehab Exercise Specialist and also training on the Reformer. I increasingly saw clients who had soft tissue injuries and wanted to develop my knowledge and understanding to provide treatments which could help to facilitate recovery. This led me to train and qualify in the BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Sports Massage and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy. Providing me the skills to assess, plan treatments and prescribe homecare exercises. I enjoy working with clients to improve rehabilitation outcomes. I am also a scar therapy practitioner.
